Mark Lee Ashley

Mark Lee Ashley, 39 of Vanderbilt, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Born on August 22, 1983, in Gaylord, he is the son of Kenneth and Myra (Matelski) Ashley. 

Mark loved working with wood and he loved his job at AJD Forest Products in Grayling; he worked until his health no longer allowed it.

His life’s first priority was his family, he loved his children and enjoyed being their dad.  In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, and especially, fishing. 

Mark is survived by the family that he loved; his children, Trevor Ashley and Taylor Ashley, both of Gaylord; his step-children, Miah, Ebony and Taylor, all of Gaylord; his mom, Myra Ashley of Vanderbilt and his dad, Kenneth (Tammy) Ashley of Gaylord; his children's mom, Kirsten Lewis of Gaylord; his former wife, Ashley Ashley of Gaylord; his grandparents, Herb and Shirley Ashley of Vanderbilt; his sister, Amanda Stock of Traverse City; his step sister, Amanda (Randy) Reynolds of Vanderbilt; his step brother, Adam Hudy of Gaylord; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Vanderbilt Community Church where visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.  Burial will be in the spring at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Vanderbilt.
