Marilyn C. Serveny

Marilyn C. Serveny, 87 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, at home. Born in Detroit on November 1, 1935, she was the daughter of Charles and Adele (Golac) Pulick.

Marilyn graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan. On May 19, 1956, Marilyn and Bill married in Detroit. Days after their wedding, they moved to California.

Her greatest pride and joy were raising her two children. She stayed home while they were young which was one of her greatest accomplishments. Marilyn worked as a lunch lady at the Ewell Elementary School in Shelby Township. They moved to Gaylord where Bills parents vacationed for years. Marilyn helped Bill out with his photography for the Gaylord Herald Times. She volunteered at Otsego Memorial Hospital where she enjoyed seeing and helping many people.

She is survived by two children, Scott Serveny of Gaylord and Kimberly (Paul) Fedorow of Romeo, Michigan; three grandchildren, Andrea, Scott L., and Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Jaycee and Jaxtyn; and her sister, Charlotte Ardnt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill in 2018 and her grandson, Matthew Fedorow.

A public gathering and celebration of life will take place from 2:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County animal shelter.
