Madeline M. Flack, 77 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Friday, May 29, 2015. Born in Detroit on August 6, 1937, she was the daughter of Paul and Grace (Zukowski) Schlage.

Madeline was a graduate of Shrine of the Little Flower and from Wayne State University with a degree in social work. She worked for many years in retail sales and as a bookkeeper. She was also a beautician and worked as a dog groomer and caterer. An avid and accomplished quilter and tailor, Madeline’s work was well known. She frequently displayed and sold her work at area craft sales. She was also an avid reader and an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gaylord.

Madeline is survived by her husband, Richard, whom she married in Pinckney, MI in 2003. Also surviving are her daughter, Laurie M. Trombino of Shelby Township; her son, Paul J. Charest of St. Helen; grandchildren Stephanie, Lauren, Austin and Cherish; a great granddaughter, Dylan Rose; step children, Debra Calillouet of Anchorage, AK and Mark Flack of Toledo, OH; 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 12:00 PM.
