Lynda Ryan

Lynda Ryan, 74 of Gaylord, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024. Born May 18, 1949, in Michigan Center, Michigan, she was the daughter of Pete and Doris (Mann) Hovey.

Lynda’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She was able to stay home while her kids were young and be a full-time mom to her daughter and two sons. She was active at the Gaylord E-Free Church for many years. Lynda was a decorator extraordinaire, who enjoyed quilting and sewing. She at one time owned and operated Quilter’s General Store.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Mike Ryan; children, Bethany (Steve) Thompson of Louisville, KY, and their 3 children, Craig (Telly) Ryan of Perry, MI and their 5 children, Kevin (Nerissa) Ryan of White Lake, MI, and their 4 children; Lynda is also survived by 1 great grandchild, as well as her brother, Rod (Pat) Hovey of Kalamazoo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will take place 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Gaylord E-Free Church, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 12:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gaylord E-Free Church, 1649 M-32, Gaylord, MI 49735.
