Lucretia Ann Thomas

Lucretia Ann Thomas, 47 of Gaylord, died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at home. Born on September 18, 1966 in Gaylord, Lucretia was the daughter of Johnny and Katherine (Renard) Cryderman. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Vanderbilt High School. Lucretia returned to school at Kirtland Community College where she received her LPN and later her RN degree. She had worked for a time at Otsego Memorial Hospital and at Tendercare of Gaylord since 1999. It was at Tendercare that she met Maurice Thomas, they married in 2001. She is survived by her husband, Maurice; her children, Charles Barber Jr. of Gaylord, Misty L. Carroll of Jackson, Bryan J. Carroll of Brighton; Brock O. Reilly of Jackson, Emmanuel M. Thomas and Aniah L. Thomas both of Gaylord; step children, Trina Thomas of Memphis, TN, Melita Jefferson and Maurice Weaver both of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; her parents, Johnny and Kathy Cryderman of Vanderbilt; sisters, Dawn Sowels of Alabama and Katrina Cryderman of Jackson; and brothers, David (Rebecca) Cryderman of Colorado Springs, CO, Baily (Lori) Cryderman of Grand Rapids and John (Nicole) Cryderman of Vanderbilt. She is also survived by her mother in law, Grace Marie Veasey of Memphis, TN and several sisters and brothers in law. Lucretia was preceded in death by a grandson, Elijah Maurice and a sister, April Lynn Cryderman. Visitation at Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Avenue will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 2:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Friendship Church, 415 North Ohio Street with Pastor Steven Datema officiating.
