Louise F. Terpening

Louise F. Terpening, 91 of Petoskey, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Born on June 5, 1931, in Levering, she was the daughter of Henry and Ester (Grams) Faulkner.

Louise enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her kids and foster care kids throughout the years. Later, she worked at a shoe store and ceramics store. She enjoyed volunteering, helping others and giving back to the community. She was an active member at the Stutsmanville Chapel. Her hobbies included reading mysteries and true crime novels, writing letters, taking care of her orchids, cooking and baking. Her greatest pride and joy were spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ruth (Dale) Wolford, Richard Terpening, Robert Terpening, Raymond Terpening; daughters-in-law, Sherry Terpening and Rosie Terpening; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren and 23 foster care kids she helped raise.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. Tepening; sons, Roger and Ronald Terpening; grandsons, Raymond Wesley and Jeremy Terpening; and nine brothers and sisters.
