Linda S. Gerwig

Linda S. Gerwig, 66 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Munson Medical Center.

Born in Mansfield, Ohio on February 3, 1951, she was the daughter of John and Theresa (Varga) Schambre.

On September 27, 1969, Linda married Roger at the United Methodist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. She was an active member at the Gaylord First United Methodist Church for many years. For 15 years, she worked at Northsport Physical Therapy as a receptionist.  Linda enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, walking and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Linda is survived by Roger, of 47 years; their children, John Gerwig of Colorado, Jeff (Jill) Gerwig and Jennifer Gerwig all of Minneapolis, MN; her brothers, John Schambre of San Francisco, CA., and Vic Scambre of Lewis Center, OH; her sister, Dreama (Todd) Cooper of Grove City, OH; her loving grandson, Samuel Gerwig; and her two nieces, Reagan Scambre of Lewis Center, OH and Shannon Cooper of Grove City, OH.

The family will have a private gathering at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A memorial service will take place in the spring where her cremated remains will be interred in the Gaylord First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden.
