Linda J. Thomas

Linda J. Thomas, 69 of Johannesburg, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital where she immediately went into the arms of Jesus. Born on September 10, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of Wilden and Betty Lou Mefford.

Linda was baptized at the age of 6 years old and loved the Lord with all of her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, camping, sewing, canning, strawberry picking and listening to Elvis Presley. She was the most selfless, kind hearted woman that always put others first.

She married the love of her life, Kenneth Thomas on September 29, 1967 at the Gaylord First United Methodist Church. Also surviving are her children, Kenneth (Danielle) Thomas, Kurtis (Angie) Thomas, Rodney (Betty) Schoolcraft and Kimberly Thomas; grandchildren, James and Melissa Morey, Gracie, Levi, Isaac, Nicole, Nicholas, Noah, Ivy and Gene Thomas, Tate and Trey Schoolcraft.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will have a private memorial celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
