Lee A. Shelly

Lee A. Shelly, 62 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at home. Born in Lompoc, California on November 17, 1961, she was the daughter of Benhardt and Philomena (Aiello) Neilsen.

Lee’s greatest pride and joy was her son, Kyle. She was a hard worker where she dedicated a lot of her time into different positions that she enjoyed. She worked at the Diocese of Gaylord under the Bishop Cooney administration for 7 years; was a Rural Mail Carrier with the United States Post Office for over 20 years and wore many hats at the Gaylord Bowling Alley for over 25 years.

She is survived by her loving son, Kyle Shelly (Fiancée LeAnn Howard) of Gaylord; her mother, Philomena Neilsen of Atlanta; brothers and sisters, Janet Hatley of Lewiston, Bernie (Cheryl) Neilsen of Atlanta, Camille Campanella of Brighton, Aimee (Norman) Dukes of South Lyon, Charles Neilsen of Sierra Vista, AZ., Jack (Kameron) Neilsen of Chicago, Il., Keith (Rose) Neilsen of Johannesburg and David (Victoria) Neilsen of Garner, NC; and three granddaughters, Sophia, Kiercelyn and Kyah.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benhardt Neilsen and her sister, June Neilsen.
