Larry Arthur Pembroke

Larry Arthur Pembroke, age 65, of Gaylord, Michigan, passed away much too soon on Friday July 7, 2023, at Munson Hospital in Traverse City, surrounded by his loved ones.

Larry was born May 17, 1958, in Big Timber, MT, the son of Robert and Evelyn Pembroke.  He married Toni Bjerke in September 1985.  Larry and Toni had two sons, Tyler of Pontiac, MI, and Tanner of Gaylord, MI. Larry had a kind and giving heart and soul.  He gave of himself by helping everyone who asked.  He was generous to the end by donating to the Gift of Life.

Larry worked for UPS for 25 years until his retirement in 2015.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish.  He enjoyed watching most sports, his favorite was watching the Oklahoma Sooners football and softball teams.  Larry thoroughly loved spending time at the farm with his brother-in-law, Dave.  Larry was a loving husband, father, uncle, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Toni, of Gaylord; sons, Tyler of Pontiac, and Tanner of Gaylord; his sisters, Sally (Dave) Peterson of Farwell, Mary (Allen) Montoye of Mt. Pleasant, Nancy (Tom) Ridley of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law, Marcia (Chuck) Goldmark of Sacramento, CA, Jeanette (Chuck) Cremer of Billings MT, and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Pembroke; mother-in-law, Irene Sallgren of Billings, MT, and his three-legged buddy, Trip.

A Celebration of life will be at his home on July 15^, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM.  Sharing of our memories of Larry will start at 3:00 PM.  For the address of his celebration email: larryp1644@yahoo.com
