On Tuesday, October 16, 2018, Kim passed away peacefully shortly after a beautiful sunrise painted the sky. While we all miss her and are sad that she is no longer here with us we take great comfort in knowing that she was able to be at home surrounded by loved ones and nothing was left unsaid.
Kim was born on April 5, 1965 in Royal Oak, MI. Her family lived in Bloomfield Hills until moving to Lakes of The North in 1976; she graduated from Gaylord High School in 1983. She went on to attend Central Michigan University and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and Administration.
On September 16, 1989 she married the late Adam Wagar at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Gaylord. They had three beautiful children together, and Kim worked as a real estate appraiser. Following the unexpected death of Adam, she took on his role at Wagar Motors and was a customer favorite.
On July 15, 2006 she married Ron Hart and gained two more children. Merging two families into one was not an easy task, but Kim made it work, and she made it a family. She was an excellent cook and always made sure that the family was together for holidays, always including the Hart’s and the Wagar’s. It brought her great comfort knowing that these traditions would continue on in the years to come.
Kim enjoyed traveling with Ron; they were able to go to New York, Boston, Las Vegas, and California in the last couple of years. She also was fond of going to the casino with her friends. She loved camping with her family, especially at Wilderness State Park for the 4th of July. She loved her home and her happiest moments were spent there with her family and friends.
Kim was a kind soul, and she was always able to find the positive in life’s difficult situations. She also had the ability to look at things from everyone’s perspective, and often was the voice of reason for her family. Her sense of humor can never be matched; she could say something hilarious with a straight face.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Hart; her children Jane Wagar, Hannah Wagar, Nick Wagar, Kylie(Bill) Hart-Flynn, and Logan Hart, and grandchildren Brody(7) and Nora(4) Flynn; her mother Sharon Bozzer (Gaylord), sisters Michelle (Brent) Glasgow, Gina (Chris Hayes) Bozzer, brothers Dan (Shelly Slivinski) Bozzer of Gaylord, and Jim “Billy” Taylor. She is also survived by her mothers-in-law, Connie Wagar and Helen Hart of Gaylord.
Kim was preceded in death by her husband Adam Wagar, and her father Gino Bozzer.
Our family would like to thank Hospice of Michigan for their astounding care and compassion. Robin, Toni, Sandy, L aura, and anyone else involved in these final moments with Kim will always be special to us.
Kim was an advocate for Stage IV cancer research. She requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity that she held in high regard: Metavivor. Only 2-5% of funds raised in the name of breast cancer research go toward metastatic breast cancer but when you donate to Metavivor, 100% of the donations go toward research for metastatic breast cancer. https://www.metavivor.org
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Please share your memories and personal messages with Kim’s family at www.gaylordfuneralhome.com
