Kevin J. Pilley

Kevin J. Pilley, 51 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Detroit on August 8, 1964, Kevin was the son of Lawrence and Carol (Storie) Pilley.

Kevin was very sick for several years. He fought so hard as he wanted to live a long life with his son, Joshua. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, fishing and making memories on Silver Lake in Wolverine. Before moving to Gaylord, he lived in Southfield and Wixom. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wonderful son, Joshua (11) who was truly the apple of his eye. Also surviving is his mother and step-father, Carol (Ken) Newland of Wolverine; girlfriend, Angela Lasslett of Gaylord; Grandmother, Betty Pilley of Wolverine; Aunt, Phyllis Pierce of Petoskey; nieces and nephew, Aiden, Ava and Lexi; half-brother, Scott Newland of Traverse City; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Pilley in 1965 and his wife, Deborah Pilley in 1997.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Silver Lake Cemetery in Wolverine.
