Kathleen A. Basinger-Rorye

Kathleen Ann Basinger-Rorye, of Gaylord MI, left us much too soon on Sunday, April 19, 2015. Born on November 10, 1954 in Gaylord, she was the daughter of Victor and Darlene (Shaff) Borowiak. Kathleen was a 1972 graduate of St. Mary High School.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Kathleen had the most loving, kind, and generous heart. Her children and grandchildren were her whole world. All who knew Kathleen admired and adored her selfless personality.

She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Borowiak of Gaylord and her son, Kevin Basinger of Gaylord. Kathleen left behind her mother, Darlene Borowiak, and her brothers Kevin Borowiak, Kenneth Borowiak, Jeff (Diane) Borowiak and her sister, Janice (James) Peterson. She also left behind her husband, Gerrit Rorye and her step-children, her son Kourtny (Faith) Basinger and 9 grandchildren: Tyler, Levi, Jordan, Kenneth Alan, Kiley, Shannon, Kathleen (Boo Boo), January, and Victoria.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 850 North Center Avenue where the family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
