Karol O McKennon

Karl O. McKennon, 74 of Williamston, formerly of Garden City died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Tendercare Gaylord. Born August 20, 1938 in Flint, the son of Raymont and Virginia (Becker) McKennon. He worked 38 years at UPS, retiring as Air Operations Manager at Detroit Metro Airport. He was a member of Elks Lodge #2246 in Livonia and was an original member of the Flint Fin Men Dive Club. He was an avid woodworker who enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He will be remembered as a man of dignity and integrity and for his love of family. Karl was preceded in death by his wife, Dallas June McKennon on July 7, 2007 and a grandson, Brandon McKennon on April 26, 2013. Surviving are sons, Karl N. (Paula) McKennon, Gaylord and David S. (Patricia) McKennon, Garden City; a daughter, Stephanie K. (Darrel) Bowlin, Williamston; grandchildren, Bethann M. (Andy) Kukla, Jennifer A. Bauer, Sarah J. Bauer, Karl P. Bauer, Nicholas S. (Tina) McKennon, Ryan K. (Julia) McKennon, Matthew Bartrum, Elizabeth Bartrum, Scott AJ Bowlin and Maranda L. Bowlin; and great grandchildren, Melody, Aiden, Hanna, Jayden and Zach. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon, Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Okemos. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
