Karen Marie Fox

Karen Marie Fox, 64 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital.

Born in Detroit on March 26, 1957, she was the daughter of Dale J. and Jeannette A. (Anderson) Smith.

A longtime Gaylord resident, Karen worked as an aide in healthcare.  In her spare time she enjoyed writing poetry, color drawings.  Karen also enjoyed the many trips she and her husband, Bud, took on their motorcycle and being a part of the Lady Penetrators, a part of the Penetrators Motorcycle Club.  She will be remembered as a collector of many things.

At the time of her death, Karen was survived by her husband, Everett L. “Bud” Fox.  He passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  She was also preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette.

Surviving is her father, Dale J. (Marlene) Smith; siblings, Sandra, Jennifer, Mark, Daniel, David and Tom and their families.  She was the “bonus mother” to Bud’s daughter, Eileen Fox and grandmother to Gabe Kohnert.

A memorial service for Karen and Bud will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
