Karen A. Hancox

Karen A. Hancox, 77 of Gaylord, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at McReynolds Hall, with her son and daughter by her side. Born on August 13, 1947, in Detroit, the daughter of Thaddeus and Ella (Gagnon) Liss. 

Karen enjoyed playing bingo, going on road trips and watching her granddaughters sporting events. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her children, Jonathan (Amanda) Hancox of Linden and Andrea Boguth of Gaylord; granddaughters, Caitlynn Boguth of Gaylord, Payton Boguth of Gaylord and Savannah Hancox of Linden; her sister, Joanne Koitek of Westland; her brother, Jeff Liss of Brighton, and son-in-law, Mike Boguth of Gaylord. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thaddeus and Ella Liss; her sister, Chris Liss; her brother, Steven Liss; and her son, Thomas K. Hancox, Jr.Reset

Funeral services will take place 12:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.
