Judy Sturtevant

Judy Sturtevant, 63 of Gaylord and formerly of Vanderbilt, died on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Otsego Memorial Hospital. Born on April 12, 1950 in Detroit, she was the daughter of Raymond B. and Marian A. (Bocci) Thomas. Judy enjoyed her work as a substitute teacher at Vanderbilt Area Schools. For more than 20 years she was also a member of the Vanderbilt-Corwith Fire & Rescue Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Judy was a NASCAR and Detroit Tigers fan and she enjoyed watching the Food Network. On June 20, 1985 she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Davison Sturtevant, whom she married on May 14, 1977. Surviving is her daughter, Jennifer L. Sturtevant and her fiancé, Dustin Robinson of Vanderbilt; her grandchildren, Lane Davison Kidder and Jesse James Robinson and her many friends. She was also preceded in death by her close friend, Jo LaPan. Services for Judy will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Avenue where the family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM.
