Judy A. Frost

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Ann Frost, 79, of Petoskey, Michigan. She passed away peacefully Saturday, September 3, 2022. Born August 6, 1943, to Frank & Phyllis Keck in Petoskey, Michigan.

After graduating from Petoskey High School in 1961 she had multiple jobs stemming from house cleaning, factory, retail, homemaker and was the Emmet/Charlevoix Co. Fair Farm and Garden department Head Superintendent for years. On June 25, 1966, she married her Navy pen pal love, Kenneth Frost, and they started their life together having three children. Judy loved camping, cake decorating, sewing, ceramics and traveling in her younger years. Her interests later in life became mostly crocheting and she really loved NASCAR racing. In February 2020 she was diagnosed with a terminal cancer that she bravely fought through with its ups and downs, realizing the strengths she never knew she had in her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Leanne Frost (Nouriddin Kriwar) & Krista Frost; grandchildren Taylor (Frost) Amicone (Nicholas Amicone), Peyton Frost, Sydney Frost, and Isaac Attias; great-granddaughter, Stella Frost; sister, Edith Hickman; brothers, Harold, and Fred (Betty) Keck.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Phyllis (Bolinger) Keck; brother, Charles Keck; her husband, Kenneth Frost; son, Brian Frost and her friend and companion of sixteen years David Mathews.

A Celebration of Life service will take place 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A luncheon and time of sharing will follow at BJ’s Event Center, 990 N. Center Ave. Gaylord.
