Judy Ann Franklin

Judy Ann Franklin, 64 of Cheboygan, died at home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Born on June 29, 1949 in Cheboygan, Judy was the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Price) Kitchen. A lifelong resident of Cheboygan, Judy was well known by her many friends, and those she met working as a cashier in the area. She loved her family, and especially treasured spending time with her grandchildren. With a passion for cooking, she enjoyed canning and catering and watching the food network. She is survived by her husband William Franklin, who she married on November 1, 2000. Also surviving are her children, Mark (Jill) Jewell of Lowell, Kelly Jewell of Cheboygan, Angela Jarvis of Cheboygan and David Jarvis of Greenville, SC; a step daughter, Ashley (Mike) Lawrence of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren Charles Jewell, Ethan Jewell, Willem Jewell, Madisen Lawrence and Amber Lawrence; and a brother, Frederick Kitchen of Cheboygan. Judy was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Jarvis in 1980 and a brother, Charles Kitchen. Memorial services for Judy will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8533 M-33 in Cheboygan. A luncheon will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements are being handled by Gaylord Community Funeral Home in Gaylord.
