Judith Ann “Judi”  Fiema, 74 of Gaylord, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.

Born on July 26, 1942 in Bay City, Judi was the daughter of James and Josephine (Wood) Marsh.  In her youth she lived in Bay City and Fenton.  A graduate of Fenton High School, Judi went on to receive an Associate Degree in Restaurant Management from Wayne State University.

Retiring in 1993 from the Lake Orion plant, Judi worked for more than 20 years at General Motors.  Over the years she also worked as a model for Pontiac automobiles and as a restaurant dining room manager.  She had also been a longtime licensed beautician.

In October of 1982 Judi met the love of her life, Thomas L. Fiema Sr.  They were married on February 11, 1983.  After Tom retired in 2001, they moved from Macomb to Gaylord.  They loved northern Michigan and enjoyed traveling around the area.  A member of Gaylord First United Methodist Church, she enjoyed reading her bible every day.  She also enjoyed cooking, fishing and playing the piano.

Judi is survived by Tom, her husband of 34 years; Tom’s children, Donna (Dan) Kennedy of Maryland, Michael Fiema of South Carolina, Thomas (Renee) Fiema Jr. of Macomb Township, Dianne Fogarty of Chesterfield and Melissa (Bryan) Dominic of Lenox; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.  Also surviving are sisters, Georgia Carter and Diane Sievert both of Saginaw; Barbara (Simon) White of Clermont, FL, Bonnie (George Shaw) Marsh and Nancy (Ivor) Alcorn both of Bay City; a brother, Donald Marsh of Bay City and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a brother, James Marsh II.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Gaylord First United Methodist Church where visitation will begin at 10:00 AM..  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church.
