Judith A. Helmke

Judith A. Helmke, 77 of Petoskey, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Hiland Cottage in Petoskey. Born in Lansing on October 2, 1939, Judy was the daughter of Russell and Lucille (Canby) Herrick.

Judy was an avid gardener and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Petoskey.

Surviving are her children, Kim (Tom) Russey of Plainfield, IN., Jeffrey Helmke of Arvada, CO and Wendy Helmke of Petoskey; six grandchildren, Melissa (Zach) Ruder, Jennifer Russey, Samantha Russey, Jay (Mariah) Helmke, Allison, Brooke and Carson Helmke.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, September 15, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 500 W Mitchell Street, Petoskey where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
