Joyce D. Moreno

Joyce D. Moreno, 90 of Gaylord, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Born on August 25, 1930 in Lansing, she was the daughter of James and Anna (Lazar) VanScoy.

For many years, Joyce worked in retail as a manager with JCPenney, in the furniture and jewelry departments, before retiring in 1995. Joyce loved to cook and bake and having bridge parties at her home. Her dog, Murphy had a very special place in her heart. Her pride and joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her four daughters, Anne Barrera of Holt, Pat Borowiak of Cheboygan, Linda (Randy) Samkowiak of Gaylord and Leslie Burroughs of Gaylord; her son, Bob Moreno (Gladys) of Interlachen, FL; eight grandchildren, Missy, Sarah, Dominic, Daniel, Nicole, Kaycie, Kinsey, and James; seven great-grandchildren, Karly, Kimberly, Kaylee, Oliver, Adalyn, Maisie and Harrison.

A private family service for Joyce will be interred with her husband, Robert at Resurrection Cemetery in Gaylord.
