Joyce Lucinda McNeil, 88 of Gaylord and formerly of Bellaire, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, at The Porches. Born in Ridgeway Township, Michigan on February 21, 1934, she was the daughter of Arland and Dorothy (Boyer) Lidster.

Joyce was a talented seamstress, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking. One of her greatest achievements was making her daughter, Diane’s wedding dress. Her greatest pride and joy were raising her five children. She was feisty, spunky, and always had a zest for life. In her final years she lived at The Porches, where the staff was incredible and made her time as enjoyable as possible.

She is survived by her three children, Diane (Donny) Frankowiak, Keith McNeil and Roger (Becky) NcNeil; grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Neil, Amanda, Ashley and Ted; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted McNeil in 1994; her twin sons, Kurt and Kent McNeil; sisters, Florene, Jeanette and Beth and a brother, Cloyce.

A memorial gathering will take place Sunday, January 22, 2023, from 1 to 4 PM at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassus Hospice. Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on her guestbook below.
