Joyce E. Marx

Joyce Elaine Marx of Cheboygan, MI, passed away quietly on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at McLaren Northern Michigan.  Joyce was 94 years old. On April 15, 1950, Joyce married the love of her life, Harold, at St Rita Catholic Church in Detroit.  They were happily married for 73 years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Raoul and Garnetta Pilon, and sisters, Lorraine, Dolores, and June.  She leaves behind her beloved husband, Harold; children, Harold (Diane) Marx of South Lyon, Linda (Gary, dec.) Konke of Melissa, TX., Cheryl Skotak (Tom Becker) of Southgate, and Gary (Sharon) Marx of Cheboygan; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale Pilon.

Upon retirement in 1989, Joyce and Harold moved into the house they built in Cheboygan.  She attended St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church in Cheboygan.

Joyce had a big heart, a wonderful sense of humor and a great work ethic.  She worked at the United States Post Office as a letter carrier for 23 years.  She was an avid woodcarver, enjoyed traveling, loved music, and spending time with her family.   Those who knew her were blessed.  We know she will continue to guide and protect us.
