Joyce S. Hudson

Joyce Scott Hudson, 86, of Mackinaw City passed away peacefully on September 3rd. She was born in Cheboygan on November 1, 1937, at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.

Joyce grew up in Wolverine, graduated from Wolverine High School and was an outstanding athlete, scoring 34 points in one game during her basketball career. She lived in Canton, Michigan and Wolverine with her husband George and then moved to Pinecrest Village in Mackinaw City in her later years.

Joyce loved music and enjoyed performing with friends.

She will be fondly remembered for her contagious laugh, colorful style, love for chocolate, ice cream, her family, and the ability to bring fun (and a little mischief) to any gathering.

We will miss her greatly but rejoice to know that she is with Jesus, and we will see her again.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband George; her parents, Marjorie and Donald Scott; her sister, Rosemary; her two brothers, Ron and Mark; and her nephew, Bobby. She is survived by her sister, Donna Azure (Michael); sister-in-law, Sara Scott; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and two first cousins.

There will be a Memorial Service for Joyce on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Indian River Baptist Church, 6214 Hemlock Street, Indian River, Michigan 49749.
