Joshua D. Tubbs

Joshua Daniel Tubbs, 15 of Gaylord, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at home. Born on October 18, 2000 in Gaylord, he was the son of Susan Bryant and John Tubbs.

Joshua was such a special man for being so young. He was a loving son and a great help to his mother. He attended Gaylord High School, almost finishing his freshman year. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, playing his xbox, watching you tube videos, and going to the movie theater. He had a special relationship with his nephew, Austin and adored his dog, Rigley and his cat, Mystic. He proudly completed the hunter’s safety course and was looking forward to hunting. He would often talk about that his dream was to go into a branch of the military service.

He is survived by his loving mother, Susan Bryant of Gaylord; his father, John Tubbs of Vienna Corners; sisters, Jenny (Jeff) Held of Gaylord and Cassie Bryant of Picayune, MS; nephews, Austin and PJ; nieces, Brooke, Chloe and Aleasha; aunts and uncles, Bob and Terry Ferrier of Green Valley, AZ, Steve and Katie Schlecht of Lewiston and Jim and Jody Schlecht of Lewiston; numerous cousins and special friends. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Rachel Schlecht and paternal grandparents, Wilford and Jerroland Tubbs.

His family will visit with friends from 4-8pm Tuesday, April 26th at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  A service celebrating his life will be held at 5:00pm Wednesday, April 27th at the E-Free Church with Pastor Scott Distler officiating.  Dinner will immediately follow the service at the church.
