Joseph A. Fronczak

Joseph A. Fronczak, 83, of Gaylord, passed away at McReynolds Hall on Sunday, February 21, 2021.

Born in Detroit on March 13, 1937, Joe was the son of August and Mary (Kuklinska) Fronczak.

On April 19, 1958, Joe married Charlene Hettinger at Ascension Catholic Church in Warren, MI, and together they raised 2 daughters.

For 30 years, Joe worked for Chrysler as a credit analyst in the accounting department. Upon retirement, they moved to Gaylord where they were active parishioners at St. Mary Cathedral. He was a 4th degree member of the St. Mary Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed playing music around the community with his grandson, Matthew. Joe had a love for aviation and was an enthusiast for anything to do with aircraft.

He is survived by Charlene, his wife of 62 years, his two daughters, Mary Fronczak of Rochester Hills and Kathleen (Robert) Oliver of Dallas, TX, and grandson, Matthew Oliver, of Dallas, TX.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Friday, June 4, 2021, at St. Mary Cathedral where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of services. His cremated remains will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery. The family requests no flowers please; in lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to St. Mary Cathedral for mass intentions or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
