Joseph Kosiara

Joseph Kosiara passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 13, 2018. Joe was born January 31, 1952 in Gaylord; the son of Walter and Josephine (Jaruzel) Kosiara.

Joe was a loving, caring, and devoted husband. A wonderful father, Joe was very proud of the way his three sons lived, learned, and became the men they are today, especially with their families. He adored his grandchildren and always looked forward to spending time with them. Joe worked tirelessly as the Pharmacy Manager for Walmart in Hastings for over twenty years and he was the caregiver for his widowed mother for over fifty years. Joe was a devout Catholic and he loved to fish, care for the family farm in Gaylord, and work in the woods.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, the former Barbara Belinc, three sons; Adrian (Lauren) Kosiara, Phillip (Ania) Kosiara, and Sam (Jean) Kosiara, six grandchildren; Isabel, Merryn, Jane, Lily, Evelyn, and Margaret, and his sisters; Regina (Jim) and Frances. Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Josephine and Walter and sisters: Marge and Dolores. Joe will be missed very much.

Joe’s family will receive friends Wednesday, 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 18, 2018, 11:00 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Gaylord, Rev. Fr. Don Geyman, celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gaylord.
