John "Tony" Tripp

John “Tony” Tripp, 81 of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at home, with his wife by his side. Born February 12, 1943, in South Haven, the son of Nyman Anthony and Rosella (Burrows) Tripp.

On March 16, 2000, Tony married the love of his life, Nancy. For over forty years, he worked in the oil and gas industry. He loved golfing and spending winters in Florida. He enjoyed having some beers with his friends while sharing stories together. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Heather (Mark) Miller of Waterford and Chris Clark of Grosse Point; sisters, Janet (Peter) Jordan of Big Rapids and Rachel (Carl) Brenner of Douglas; step-daughters, Katina Holthus of Ethiopia, Kelly (Adam) Cousineau of Mineola, FL and Kourtney (William) Olter of Gaylord; step-son, William (Elizabeth) DeParvine of Owasso, OK; and 13 special grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
