Joan Patricia Renodin

Joan Patricia Renodin, 82 of Gaylord, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Medilodge of Gaylord on Friday, January 3, 2020.

Born in Dearborn, Michigan on May 30, 1937, Joan was the daughter of Harry L. and Maude E. (Smith) Corbett.  Growing up in Dearborn, Joan and her family were very active in their church where they sang together in the church choir.  She enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage in Lexington, MI.

Always a loving, giving person, Joan worked for many years as a caregiver to disabled residents of foster care homes in Lewiston and Atlanta.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Joan enjoyed hosting and attending any get together with family and friends.  In her spare time, Joan enjoyed music, dancing and visiting area casinos.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Renodin; a daughter, Debra Roberts Paul; and sisters, Vera Foster and Ethel Spicer.  Surviving is her daughter, Denise (Jim) Moyer of Gaylord; her son, Mark (Trish) Roberts of Gaylord; grandchildren, Cody (Gabrial), Melina (Dominic), Nicole (Bryan), William (Brienna), Wade (Katie) and Taylor (Kamm); great grandchildren, Marcus, MyKenzie, Mylie, Mykelh, Elijah, Layne, Jaxson, Conrad, Aiyanna and Emett; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 12:00 noon.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Special Olympics Michigan, Northern Region, 2180 Quincy Rd, Afton, MI  49705.
