Joan D. Eisenhart, 86 of Vanderbilt, Michigan, passed away in Spanish Fork, Utah at Beehive Care Center on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Born in the family farmhouse in Vanderbilt, Michigan. on April 3, 1937.
Joan was the first born of eight children of Fred and Nancy (Damer) Gault.
Joan grew up in Vanderbilt where she attended St. Mary's school. Later graduating from Benton Harbor.
Joan met her husband of 55 years, while Lloyd Eisenhart was visiting Gaylord. They married in St. Joseph, Michigan on October 22, 1960. Joan and her family lived in St. Joesph where she worked at A & P, then she obtained her real estate license, while caring for her four children.
After retiring in 1981, Joan, Lloyd and son Chip moved to Utah, where they unretired and owned a swimming pool franchise "Vernal Pool and Patio". Later moving to Florida, keeping always busy with crafts, knitting and art, and caring for Lloyds' parents (Art and Flora Eisenhart). In 2000, returning to Vanderbilt where she and Lloyd built their home. She was always on the move for adventure and business. Joan obtained a Patton for making/creating dolls. They were also extras in a BYU (Brigham Young University Film. Joan took painting classes and won an award for her vivid oil on canvas Farm-scene. Joan was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Faith, family and friends were an integral part of her life.
Joan is survived by her Siblings: Connie (Fred) Gorny, Irene Peck, Lorriane (Ron) Hensel, Pat Gault, Jerry (Phyliss) Gault. Her Children: Mitzi Layman of Baroda, Marketta Hardy (Chet) of Gaylord, Montreia and (Kelly) Barney of Spanish Fork, Utah, Lloyd-Chip Eisenhart (Dianne) of St. Joseph, MI. Grandchildren: Casey Layman (Joe), Lee Jr, (Amber) Layman, Madison Eisenhart. Great Grandchildren: Alex (Megan,) Gus, Zoey, and Harper. Joan was proceeded in death by her parents, her Husband Lloyd Eisenhart Sr, her sister Barbar Ann Gault-Shipley.
Joan's life will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Vanderbilt, Michigan at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2024. Those who wish to consider memorial contributions to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
