Jo Anne "Jody" Fleming

Jo Anne “Jody” Fleming, 71 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Sunday, December 18, 2022, with Butch and her beloved dog Charlie at her side.

Born in Petoskey, Michigan on June 14, 1951, she was the daughter of Clifford C. and Elizabeth M. (Cauchon) Moyer. 

After graduating from Johannesburg-Lewiston High School in 1969, Jody attended NCMC in Petoskey, and she also received her cosmetology training.  She worked for several years as a hairdresser and cosmetologist before eventually going to work at K-Byte in Gaylord, which later became Reptron.

In her spare time, Jody was an avid photographer and artist.  Also, a talented musician, she could sing and play various instruments.

Jody is survived by her husband, Darrell “Butch” Fleming.  They were married on September 19, 1970.  Also surviving is her brother, Don Moyer of Gaylord; her sister Sharon “Shary” (Ken) Boughner of Skanee; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Carol Moyer; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Clifford “Buck” Moyer. 

Arrangements for an early summer memorial gathering are pending.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Otsego County Animal Shelter, Hospice of Michigan or to the charity of your choice.
