Jerry Daniel Pomeroy

Jerry Daniel Pomeroy, 75 of Vanderbilt, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at home.

Born on June 24, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan, he was the son of the late Lee and Iris (Nephew) Pomeroy.

Jerry worked at General Motors for many years before retiring in 1999.   He and his wife, Florence “Renny” moved to Indian River and later to Vanderbilt.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working around the yard, and spending time with his family.  He was a man who was very strong in his Christian faith and very patriotic.

He is survived by Renny, his wife of 41 years; his children, Sarah (Jonathan) Cann of Nova Scotia, Anton Pomeroy of Traverse City, John (Cecelia) Pomeroy of Mount Clemens, Kevin Pomeroy of Gaylord, Shyanne (Rusty) Robbins of Traverse City and Nathan Pomeroy of Vanderbilt; grandchildren, Natalie, Emily, Rosalie, Serenity, Savanna, Sahara, Darrien, and Amiyah; his sister-in-law, Carol Pomeroy of Ortonville; and a niece, Michelle Pomeroy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Dale Pomeroy.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Indian River United Methodist Church, 956 Eagles Nest, Indian River, MI where visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.  A luncheon will follow the service.
