Jerry R. Ostrander

Jerry Ray Ostrander passed away too soon at the age of 57 on April 2, 2014 at Otsego Memorial Hospital.

Born in Grayling on May 5, 1956, Jerry was the son of Richard and Marion June (Smith) Ostrander. The family moved to Gaylord when Jerry was young and he graduated from Gaylord Community Schools in 1974.

Jerry worked in the area for many years, including his work at Flint Engineering and Georgia Pacific. Currently he worked at Breitburn as a lease operator. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and just being outside. He loved spending time with his family and did so as much as he could.

He left behind in this world his wife Kimberly (Respecki) Ostrander, who he married in Gaylord on January 28, 1978; daughters Ashley (Nicholas) Love and Natalie (Jerry) Rayl of Gaylord; his father, Richard Ostrander of Gaylord; brothers Richard (Doreen) Ostrander, Dean Ostrander and Kenneth Ostrander all of Gaylord; one granddaughter Hannah Rae Smith of Gaylord; a step granddaughter, Kendra Sehl of Gaylord and several nieces and nephews . He was preceded in death by his mother Marian June (Smith) Ostrander, and his brothers, James and Douglas Ostrander.

Memorial services for Jerry will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Avenue where the family will visit with friends beginning at 1:00 P.M.
