Jerome Jablonski

Jerome Jablonski, 68 of Traverse City, passed away at Munson Medical Center on Monday, August 6, 2018.

Born in Koniecpol, Poland on June 21, 1950, Jerome was the son of Stanislaw and Zofia Jablonski.  He was raised in Poland where he married and started a family.

Jerome was proud of his involvement in the Solidarity movement and his fight against communism in his home country.  He risked his life to make life better for others.  As a result, he left Poland with his then wife, Emilia and two young sons as a political refugee in 1983.  The family moved to the United States and settled in northwest Michigan.  After settling in Michigan, a third son was born.

Jerome enjoyed his life here.  He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his lake home.

Surviving are his three sons, Peter (Aprille) Jablonski of Cincinnati, OH, Paul (Robynn) Jablonski of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Nicholas (Elizabeth) Jablonski of Canton, MI; several grandchildren; a brother, Waldemar Jablonski and nephews, Marcin and Michal Jablonski in Poland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM Monday, August 13, 2108 at St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church in Kingsley.
