Jennifer Joyce Summers

Jennifer “Joyce” Summers, known to many as “Grandma Joyce”, passed away peacefully at Aspen Ridge Retirement on November 26, 2022, at the age of 80. Born to John and Audrey Kaumeyer on August 18, 1942. She married Richard Summers on June 27, 1964 and they were blessed with two children, Carol and Renee.

Jennifer is survived by her brothers, John Kaumeyer and Ray (Sandy) Kaumeyer; daughter, Carol (Carl) Reimann; grandchildren, Kayla Reimann (Justin Gauden), Jared Reimann (Meghan Lahaie), Hailey Reimann, Ian Reimann (Asha Armock); nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, John and Audrey Kaumeyer; husband, Richard Summers and daughter, Renee Summers.

Grandma Joyce enjoyed time with her grandchildren, babysitting throughout the years, taking them on trips, baking for all of them and going to sporting events.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Brook of Cheboygan, Aspen Ridge Retirement of Gaylord, and McLaren Hospice for their loving care and support.

The family has chosen to grieve in private. Memorial donations may be made to McLaren Hospice.
