Jean Ann Henderson

Jean Ann Henderson, 88 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at McReynolds Hall in Gaylord.

Born in Hamtramck, Michigan on July 7, 1935, she was the daughter of Walter and Wanda (Mrozinski) Pakulski.  She was a 1953 graduate of Hamtramck High School.

Jean moved to Gaylord with her sister, Lorraine, where she later met her future husband, Louis Henderson.  They were married in Gaylord on July 10, 1971.

Jean and Louis made their home in Gaylord with their one son, Walter.  Jean worked at the Diocese of Gaylord, Gaylord Glass, and the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, and swimming. She was also an excellent cook; her family and friends will miss her skills in the kitchen.

Jean was survived by Louis, her husband of 52 years, however he passed away at McReynolds Hall on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.  She is survived by her son, Walter (Susan Rondeau) Henderson of Eaton Rapids; her sister, Lorraine Heiser of Gaylord; her brother, Walter Pack of Franklin, WI; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Judith Tadeusiak, and Deloris Wesoloski.

Funeral services for Jean and Louis will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, September 18, 2023, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where visitation will begin at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
