Janet L. Enos, 82 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Woodland Acres Assisted Living. Born in Cheboygan MI on November 8, 1934, Janet was the daughter of J. Martin and Isabelle (Ramsay) Enos.
For over 44 years, Janet dedicated her life to the nursing field. She worked as a floor nurse throughout MI and WI. After moving to Alaska in 1978, she went back to school, receiving her Masters from APU in Anchorage. She taught nursing part-time at UAA and eventually became the Director of Nursing at The Mary Conrad Center. Janet traveled all over the world including multiple trips to Europe. She loved the outdoors. She was an avid X-country skier, swimmer, skater, gardener, and also enjoyed hiking and back packing. She proudly hiked the Resurrection Pass at the age of 45 & 61. She had a great sense of humor and was the matriarch of the family. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her passion for life will live on in the hearts of her family.
She is survived by her children: Bill Cronk of Eau Claire, WI., Marta Cronk of Wasilla, AK., and Amy Cronk-Pressley of Whitehall, MI; her 12 grandchildren: Justin (Alayna), Rachael (Diego), Jennifer (Tucker), Billy, Jessica (Will), Beki (Sean), Matt, Winston, Sarah, Misty, Eli and John; 11 special great-grandchildren: Mason, Carter, Abigail, Makayla, Aiden, Kassidy, Lailah, Sophie, Ramsay, Junuh and Addison; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chuck Mundorff; and her two brothers, Martin and John Enos.
A celebration of Janet's beautiful life will take place on August 5, 2017 in Cheboygan, MI.
