Janet L. Goodenough

Janet L. Goodenough, 69 of Vanderbilt peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

Born on September 24, 1945 in Detroit, Janet was the daughter of George and Louise (Quandt) Durand.

Janet enjoyed making crafts, sewing, reading, cooking and most of all spending time with her family. She loved taking her dogs, Natasha and Punkin on long walks around her and Duane’s property. Janet lived a very simple and private life. Janet courageously fought breast cancer on and off for 24 years. She will be greatly missed.

On March 18, 1993 in Niagara Falls, she married Duane who survives. Also surviving are her two children, Leanne (Eric) Czajka of Onaway and Kyle Bricker and Kaleena Gardner of Alanson; granddaughter, Megan Czajka and grandson, Kyle Bricker II.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, George “Skip” Durand.

Per Janet’s wishes, the family will remember her privately.
