Jacqueline A. Rockwell

Jacqueline A. Rockwell, 60 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Born on October 28, 1954 in Dayton, OH Jackie was the daughter of James and Frances (Miller) Schwartz.

A Dayton resident for many years, Jackie moved to Gaylord in 2001. A longtime bus driver, she worked for the transportation department of Northmont City Schools in Clayton, OH and has worked for Gaylord Community Schools since 2001.

She enjoyed the simple things and loved spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, rock hunting and bird watching. Jackie made many friends in the community and has a special bond with many of the children on her bus.

Jackie married Randy J. Rockwell in Gaylord in 2009. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2012.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Douglas) Oller of Louisville, KY, Amy (Dennis) Oller of Taylorsville, KY; Jeramy (Christie) Furlong-Dixon of Louisville, KY, Brian (Amy) Furlong of Troy, OH and Sara (David) Benaway of Gwinn, MI; grandchildren, Haley, Derek, Jillian, Amberlee and Guinevere; sisters, Sherry (Tom) Berg of Indianapolis, IN and Linda Jones of Houston, TX; a brother, Ron Schwartz of Dayton, OH and 6 nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Life Church, 115 East Main Street in Gaylord with a time of sharing at 3:00 P.M. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan or to Jackie’s family.
