Jack C. Adkins, 84 of Bellaire, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. Born June 12, 1931 in Flint, Jack was the son of Roscoe and Gladys (Gifford) Adkins.
Jack lived in the Flint area most of his life and worked as a welder and later as a restaurant manager. He moved to Antrim County in 2001. He loved camping, rides in the car and especially his dogs. Jack enjoyed life at Meadow Brook playing bingo, attending chapel services, sing-a-longs and wii bowling.
Surviving are his children, Vicki Stacy, Dawn Buck, Melody (Bill) Drogt, Valerie (Howard) Peters, Heather (Freen) Manning, Mellisa Adkins, Vanessa Van Horn and Jack Adkins; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Ivan (Betty) Adkins, a sister, Betty Philips and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Anderson and a brother, Robert Adkins.
Jack’s family will remember him at graveside services in the spring at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
