Isabella "Izzy" Williams, 18, of Grand Rapids and Gaylord, died Aug. 16, 2017, in New Baltimore.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017  at St. Mary Cathedral, Gaylord, with Father Don Geyman officiating. Visitation is planned Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017  at Gaylord Community Funeral Home  & Cremation Service from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Trout Lake.

Born Oct. 18, 1998 in Grand Blanc, she was the daughter of Amy Scott and Lance Williams.

Izzy, as she was known by many, was all about the next adventure. An avid reader, she loved to travel.

She was a 2017 graduate of St. Mary Cathedral High School, Gaylord. While in high school, she was a member of the Snowbirds archery team, a stagehand for the Cathedral Players of St. Mary Cathedral High School, a member of the Quizbowl team and participated in Youth in Government (YIG). She was loved by her classmates at St. Mary Cathedral High School.

A recipient of a Wayne State University Green Merit Scholarship, she had been accepted into the Honors Program at the university to study nursing. Her goal was to become a member of Doctors Without Borders.

She is survived by her mother, Amy (Jayson Stevens) Scott of Grand Rapids; father, Lance Williams of Flint; sister, Alexandria Williams of Grand Rapids; grandparents, Stanley and Suzanne Scott of Gaylord and Melvin Williams of Flint; great-grandmother, Velma Scott of Cheboygan; aunt, Laura (Ryan) Johnson of Riverton, WY; uncle, David (Holly) Scott of Newcastle, WY; and many grandaunts and granduncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Joe White, and grandmother, Helen Williams.
