Irvin Michalak, 78 of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
Born on December 29, 1938 in Detroit, Irvin was the son of John and Helen (Schuster) Michalak.
After graduating from high school, Irvin served honorably in the U.S Army. He was discharged in December of 1965. He worked for many years in the warehouse of J.L. Hudson Department Stores in Detroit. After retiring he moved to Lewiston.
Irvin was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia and his brother, Jerome Michalak. He is survived by sisters, Geraldine (Louis) Dame of Alma and Mary Ann (John) Doyle of Grass Lake; his sister-in-law, Adrian Michalak; a step daughter, Dominique Goodpaster of Detroit; a step granddaughter, Chelsea Goodpaster; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be held in the spring at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lewiston with burial at St. Francis Cemetery.
