Hazel June Bliss

Hazel June Bliss, 94 of Levering, MI passed away at home on Thursday, May 14, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Born on June 30, 1920 in Port Clinton, Ohio, June was the daughter of Frank and Margaret Willard.

June was a talented florist for 36 years at Shinkels Flowers in Temperance, MI. She and her husband, Art were members of Zion Lutheran Church in Petersburg, MI and attended St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Cheboygan, MI for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, bird watching, metal detecting and living on the Lake.

She is survived by her son, George II (Susan) Bliss of Levering, MI; grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Baadke of Kentwood, MI, Gregory (Erin) Bliss of Battle Creek, MI; great-grandchildren, Sonja Burnside, Shekinah and Arwin Bliss; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Art; great-grandson, Drew Burnside; and several brothers and sisters.

Hazel will be interred with her husband, Art at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Petersburg, MI at a later date.
