Geraldine B. Tornquist

Geraldine B. Tornquist, 87 of Elmira, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at home. Born in Berrian Springs, MI on April 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Leonard and Mae (Brandt) Austin.

Geraldine owned and operated her own Bridal Shop in Kalamazoo for several years. She lived in Florida for many years before moving to Elmira where she was in the comfort of her daughter, Diana’s home for the last years of her life. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Diana (Stephen) Veach of Elmira, Valerie Lammon of Palm Bay, FL, and Shari (David) Slapo of Palm Bay, FL; six loving grandchildren, Courtney, Amanda, Kayla, Alex, Karie and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Larissa and Emma and her niece, Pamela Alton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred in 2009; her son, Fred and her sister, Vivian.
