Gerald I. Frock

Gerald Ivan Frock, 83 of Frederic, passed away November 18, 2016 at Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital. Born in Detroit on July 19, 1933, he was the son of Ivan and Valera (Howe) Frock.

For many years, Gerald was employed by Duraline Industrial Tank Fabrication as a Sales Representative. He enjoyed doing home restoration, listening to classical music, and during retirement in Frederic, watching the antics of the squirrels and birds feeding in the back yard.

On February 23, 1952 he married the love of his life, Joan Szucs who survives. Also surviving are his children, Bruce (Renay) Frock of Oxford MI, April (Gary) Smith of Russell NY, Scott (Cari) Frock of Saluda SC, and Wendy Hottle of Frederic MI; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sister Carole Krieger and brother Roger (Linda) Frock.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild Crystelle (daughter of Scott and Cari) and son-in-law Jim Hottle.

A memorial gathering will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 850 North Center Ave, Gaylord MI. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
