Gerald J. Respecki

Gerald John Respecki, 56 of Grayling and formerly of Gaylord, died at home on Thursday, October 31, 2013. Born on March 9, 1957 in Gaylord, Jerry was the son of Florian “Floyd” and Shirley (Moorehead) Respecki. He attended Gaylord Community Schools and the Gaylord M-Tec Center. Jerry was a welding engineer, a tool and die maker and a certified small engine mechanic. He will be remembered for his ability to repair anything and his willingness to always help those who needed him. He was a true “jack of all trades.” Jerry enjoyed fishing, had a keen sense of humor and a love for his dog, Butters. Surviving are his wife, Laurelee; daughters, Jaymie Respecki of Charleston, SC, Sarah (Rob) Pollock of Grayling and Samantha Respecki of Grayling; a son, Gerald John Respecki Jr. of Hollywood, FL; 3 grandchildren; his mother, Shirley Respecki of Gaylord; sisters, Gloria (Jim) Monchilov, Dolores (John) Pomarzynski, Lori (Peter) Forcier and Kimberly (Jerry) Ostrander all of Gaylord; and a brother, Dan (Diane) Respecki of Vassar. He was preceded in death by his father, Florian “Floyd” Respecki; and a brother, Mike Respecki. Jerry’s family will remember him privately.
