Frederick Lukaszewski

Frederick Lukaszewski, 72 of Petoskey, formerly of Elmira and Shelby Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Born in Detroit on July 13, 1946, Fred was the son of Konstanty and Angeline (Bembas) Lukaszewski.  After graduating from high school he served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970.

Fred returned to the metropolitan Detroit area where he lived many years and worked at TRW in Sterling Heights.

On May 13, 1983 he married Carol (Krajewski) Trefelner who also worked at TRW.  After retiring they moved to Elmira in 2007 and later to Petoskey.

Fred is survived by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Leah (Michael) Gibbs and a son, Matthew (Renee) Lukaszewski both of Sterling Heights; 3 grandchildren; stepsons, John and Dale Trefelner; sisters, Terry and Donna; a brother, Leonard and several nieces and nephews.
