Francis E. “Frank” Gardner, 92 of Johannesburg, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Otsego Memorial Hospital. Born in Colchester, Ontario on December 11, 1922, Frank was the son of Harry and Ruby (Ross) Gardner.
On July 11, 1959 Frank married Margaret D. Munford. He was the longtime owner of Franks Fix-It, an auto repair and gas station, in Mt. Clemens. After retiring from his station, Frank and Margaret moved north in 1978. He worked for several years as the manager at Best Gas Station in Gaylord. Frank was very devoted to Margaret, as she was to him. He enjoyed spending time working with her in their flower gardens and working in his yard.
Frank is survived by Margaret, his wife of over 55 years; grandchildren, Troy and Serena and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Gardner in 2014 and was the last surviving of his brothers.
