Florence Ann Nulph Julian Sanders, (Laura, Limey, Flo) passed away peacefully on August 31, 2023, while in hospice care at McLaren Northern Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Ned Hardy Sanders; her parents, Frank DeLoss Nulph and Margaret Diebold Nulph; brother, Rick (Mary) Nulph.
Florence is survived by her children, John (Kyong) Julian, James Lauren Julian and Christine (Darrold) Jarmin; grandchildren, Johnny, Tony, Brandon, Creedence, Zachery and Amanda; 8 great-grandsons; brothers, Donnie Nulph, Keith (Julie), Kevin (Stacy); one sister, Shellie (John) Harrington; many nieces and nephews and in-laws (Nulph, Sanders and Julian).
Laura worked as a clerk/manager for Loafers Glory, production worker for Belden Wire both in Franklin, NC; Burger Barn and Summit Timber in Darrington, WA.
Laura loved her family deeply and enjoyed any time she was able to spend or visit with them. She loved traveling the nation with her spouse Ned as they made several trips back and forth from North Carolina to Washington State. Laura was a crafter and in her later years of life, she enjoyed beading and was known by all of her friends for this craft.
In her earlier years, Laura was known for spending all of her time with her children, John, Jim and Chris and as many of their friends and family loaded in her car to go to "the Beach"-Stony Creek, (Metro) or Clay Banks (Darrington). She never refused caring for other children and welcomed all into her home. She often spoke of the good times camping with friends and family and playing cards for pinto beans.
Laura spent her last few summers "vacationing" with her lifelong friend of 70 years, Nancy Barbani, their friendship was precious till the end. Also, very special friendships-Greta Moyer-neighbor and best friend at Hillside apartments, and Jennifer Sutkay-Hillside Coordinator, you were both so special to Laura and will never be forgotten.
Special Thank you to those at McLaren Northern Michigan staff-floor 1&2, Hospice Care and Emmet County EMS for your wonderful compassion and caring during her last days.
